Okay it's been a while, blame my schedule not me :). So lately I've been using this amazing recipe book "The Eleven Year Collection" by Sally Hassan. It's an amazing book, but I realized in the breakfast section there was no recipe for her baked French Toast. Because of the time difference I didn't expect for her to be on Facebook sooooooo, I came up with my own recipe and it goes a little something like this:
Ingredients:
6 Eggs
7-8 cups French bread or Feno chopped
1/3 cup Sugar
1/2 tbsp molasses
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup milk
Pre-heat over to 375 degrees F
| 6 eggs |
| French bread or Feno chopped |
Mix sugar and molasses to make brown sugar (sorry I forgot to take a picture, but stir until it is brown and well mixed) |
| Vanilla extract and Cinnamon |
| Milk |
| Beat eggs in a bowl |
| Add brown sugar (molasses & sugar) mix well |
| Add cinnamon and vanilla extract |
| Add milk |
| Egg mix and Bread (I used feno) |
melt butter in a pan and make sure butter is around the entire pan so your bread won't stick and for flavor |
| mix bread with egg mix |
| place it in your pan |
bake approx 20 min bottom should be brown, do not overcook |
| Serve with my homemade syrup or the syrup of your liking |
| ENJOY!!! |
Looks delicious mashaallah. I will have to try this soon.
