Rice was one of things that I could not master when I came to Egypt. I tried using the Egyptian rice and it always turned out to be like mashed potatoes. Then I tried Jasmine rice, it's okay but not something I can use often. I fell in love with Basmati rice, but not the price. Recently, I started using Thai Long Grain rice and I absolutely love it. Here's the recipe.
Ingredients:
2 cups rice
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 Maggi cubes(vegetable) (buillon cubes)
1/4 tsp salt
dash or 2 of black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
4 cups water

ReplyDeleteWow! Those are easy for me alhamdulillah. Do you fry the rice in a little oil first? I think that helps.
